I love Pugerudes. They are creative and so helpful; I can't say enough good things about them. We recently moved into a "builder spec home" and Pugerudes came up with a nice solution of a cornice which would hide the fact that the 3 windows and door were not all the same height as one another.
The fabrication of the drapes they made for our master bedroom was beautifully done. Jill, the owner, has good insight on pleating options and hardware choices for whatever look you are trying to achieve. In other instances, Pugerudes had to fix drapes which were fabricated by another firm. Again, they came through with creative, cost-effective solutions.
Their work is professionally done and looks beautiful. They take pride in their work and will do what it takes to get the job done. I would use them again in a heartbeat. In fact, Pugerudes is the only firm I would consider using for my window treatments."

Pugerudes has the solution:
Hard to reach windows can be difficult because they permit glare and allow heat to build up in summer months. In addition, the harsh UV rays from the sun will cause damage by fading furniture and floors. Motorized shades and blinds (sometimes referred to as electric blinds) are an excellent solution to these problems.
Motorized Systems
Convenience-Push of the button will open and close your window coverings
Greater energy efficiency-Closing blinds will block sun's rays and cool your home
Enhanced safety-No climbing ladder to adjust window coverings
Battery power is the most popular and most economical method; however, batteries must be changed periodically.
With hard-wiring, the shades are connected directly to 110 volt power so while no maintenance is necessary, more planning is needed for the electrical wiring work that must be done. A benefit of the hard-wired option is synchronicity of operation when multiple shades are placed in the same area.
One other consideration when operating automatic blinds or window coverings is how you want to control them.
The two most popular methods-
(If you have a tendency to lose remote controls, a wall-mounted control might be the better option.)
